Washer Placement When Using Swagman Locking Anti-Rattle, Threaded Hitch Pin for 2 Inch Bike Racks
Question:
Where do the washers go? I put the locking on one with slit on one side of hitch and the regular washer on other side. Is that correct? I lost my instruction sheet and am just putting rack back on car after a long trip. Thanks...

It sounds like you have put the washers on correctly. The one with a slit in it is probably the lock washer. It would go on the side with the threads. A lock washer is designed to help hold the bolt in place so it will not come loose. A flat washer on the other side will help prevent any scratches on the lock or hitch and disperse the tension from tightening down the bolt.
