Will CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver # 11294 Fit My 2001 Ford Focus LX Sedan
Question:
Will this fit a 2001 Ford Focus 4door Sedan? Hope thats not a stupid question... I could only find mention of the wagon - Id like to know if it would fit the standard LX sedan without interfering with the bumper.

Yes, the item you selected, CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 11294, will fit your 2001 Ford Focus 4-door LX Sedan. You will not need to trim the rear bumper fascia to install the # 11294 hitch on your Focus.
The Curt # 11294 includes a draw bar, pin and clip. To complete your towing setup you may be need the following:
Draw-Tite Wiring, part # 119178KIT
1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19256
2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19258
The other hitch available that will fit your Focus is Draw-Tite Hitch # 24692.
Since none of the hitches available for your vehicle are Class I 1-1/4 hitches, you will be limited to hitch accessories that are compatible with Class I hitches.
CURT requires the use of a stabilizing strap like the CURT Bike Rack Strap # 18050, when using hitch accessories like hitch bike racks. Draw-Tite does not require the use of a stabilizing strap.
I have linked instructions for the CURT Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 11294. Also linked is a video installation of the Draw Tite # 24692 on a 2007 Focus, and an FAQ on trailer hitch installation tips.
