Replacement Parts for Fan-Tastic Fan Malfunction on 2003 Cedar Creek 5th Wheel

Question:

I have a LF 8100TS 02/03 Fantastic fan. The motor opens and closes the lid repeatedly but the fan will not start. Occasionally it will spin at a very slow speed less than slow speed on any of the 3 settings and will usually just hum. I have cleaned the rain sensor, checked an lubed to piston and checked the fuse. What replacement parts are needed? It is in a 2003 Cedar Creek 5th wheel.

It sounds like you need the Fan-Tastic Vent 3350 Series Upgrade Kit - Off White # FV803358 which will replace all the "guts" of your fan. It sounds like there is a circuit board issue and there aren't replacement parts for everything malfunctioning outside of this kit. If you also want the fan, you can use the # FVK8017-00.

Alternatively, if you want to replace the entire assembly, I recommend the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat - Powered Lift - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" # FV803350. I also recommend installation kit # 344270KITW if you choose this option.
