Question:

good day to the folks at etrailer. i need to connect a Winnebago winni minni with a 6 way male round connector to a jeep tow vehicle with a 4 way male round connector. i can see where you sell a 6 round to 4 flat adaptor, but no 6-4 round adaptor. am i just not finding the right adapter? could possibly use a 6 round to 4 flat adaptor, a 48 foot 4 flat extension cable, and then a 4 flat to 4 round adaptor. any ideas???? thanks,

If your Jeep has a 4-Way Round and your Winnebago has a 6-Way Round then you simply need an adapter like the Mighty Cord # A10-6034VP. This comes with loose wires for a ground, 12V Power, and a Brake Controller which you may need for your trailer. Cut off your 4-Way Round and the 4-Way flat on this adapter and then splice the wires together function for function. This will pass along your basic lighting functions so if your trailer is equipped with brakes or need 12V Power then you will need to make those connections as well.

To mount this connector on your Jeep you can use the bracket # RM-910030-5 along with the no-drill bracket # C57202.

If your trailer does have brakes, then I highly recommend installing a brake controller like the P3 # 90195 so that you can utilize those brakes. It will help make your travels much more safe. Let me know if this is the case and I can give you more details on how to properly install a brake controller. I will need to know the year and model of your Jeep though.
