Bolt-On Trailer Jack for Small Ironton Utility Trailer

Question:

Hello, I am looking for and failing at finding a smaller version of a bolt-on trailer jack with a wheel for my kayak trailer. I bought and attempted to use Reese-Trailer-Jack 15125801 but the part that bolts ontro the trailer tongue was too big for the smaller dimensions of my kayak trailer ironton 40x48 utility trailer. Are there any smaller wheeled trailer tongue jacks out there? Thanks in advance.

For your trailer you might like a rack and gear jack such as # BD169201. This jack will bolt around trailer frames or tongues that are up to 3"x5". This type of jack has the ability to draw the wheel up very close to the mounting bracket which means the clearance from where it mounts to the bottom of the wheel is only 7-1/2 inches when the jack is fully retracted. I have linked a video review of this jack for you. It isn't a swivel jack but since it can retract so far it is an alternative to the swivel design.

A similar jack, only with a slightly different mounting design and a metal wheel rather than a plastic wheel, is rack and gear jack # BD162300. It will fit trailer frames up to 4" square. When fully retracted it measures just 6 inches from the mounting bracket to the bottom of the wheel.

If you want to look at something different let me know the height and the width of the frame where you want to mount the jack.
