For your 2018 Chevy Sonic, I recommend you start with the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # RM-523192-5 and use Loctite # LT37420 for the installation of the bolts.

Then for your tow bar, I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520 and safety cables # RM-643. You may be interested in the RoadMaster Release Tool for Motor Home Mounted Tow Bars # RM-066 depending on your grip strength.

Then for your tow bar wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs # RM-155 which adds bulbs to your tail light housing for an easy connection to your motorhome. If you don't want to add these bulbs to your tail light housing, then I recommend simply using the Heavy Duty Magnetic Tow Lights - 20' Wiring Harness with 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # TL21RK instead.

According to your owners manual you need to pull fuses to flat tow, however you can bypass that by using the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicle - (2) 20-Amp ATM Mini-Fuses # RM76512 and Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass - 13" - 20-Amp Mini-Fuse # RM76511 to simply allow you to flip a couple switches to get ready to tow the vehicle.

Then for your braking system, I recommend using the 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps # RM-9332 and the Blue Ox Patriot Portable Braking System # BLU37TR. This will give you a wireless connection to your motorhome and still give you the manual override option for emergency braking if needed.

Finally, you will need a high-low adapter. I've attached an article to help you with the measurements and have also linked a page to your options. This will complete your set-up.
