Tire Chain Recommendation for 2006 GMC Sierra with Tire Size 265/70R17

Question:

I have a 2006 GMC Sierra with 265/70R17 tires. I have concerns about clearance in the front wheel wells. I will only be using these chains off road for deep snow in the mountains of Colorado, elk hunting. This is what I was thinking for tire chains, and I would like your opinion. -Front tires: I would like your recommendation on cable chains due to clearance issues -Rear tires: Item # TC2828CAM Thanks for the help.

For a set of cables that fit your tire size of 265/70R17 we have the TC2028 which would fit and work well. Or for a set of chains with similar clearance requirements the Titan Alloy Snow Chains # TC2326 would be a great option too.

So the other set of chains you mentioned part # TC2828CAM is V-bar style chain which will help quite a bit but it's geared towards icy conditions. For deep snow square links are the best as they cut through deep snow the best. So for that the part # TC2228SCAM would be the way to go.

Be sure to check the owners manual of your vehicle for any tire chain restrictions.
