Upgrading the Trailer Hitch on a 1993 Fleetwood Flair

Question:

I would like to upgrade my receiver hitch on my 1993 chevy p30 based motorhome, actually Its a 25 foot Fleet wood Flair. I believe it has a class 2 3500 gross 350 tongue receiver on it now. We plan on putting 2 full size dirtbikes 5-600, or a 7k car hauler with a 85 Toyota 4runner on it.

The heaviest duty trailer hitches that we have for motorhomes are from Curt and are listed as part # C13702 and part # C13701 which is the same trailer hitch just with a 2" drop.

These are compatible with frames that are 18" - 51" wide and have a 500 lb tongue weight (TW) rating and a 5,000 lb gross trailer weight (GTW) rating. When used with a weight distribution (WD) system those capacities are increased to 600 lbs TW and 6,000 lbs GTW.

If you carry your dirt bikes I highly recommend using a trailer to do so since their combined weight of 500 lbs - 600 lbs would be pushing the limits of either trailer hitch. As long as the combined weight of your car hauler and '85 4Runner don't exceed the weight limits of this trailer hitch you can use it for that as well.

I also recommend checking the weight ratings of your motorhome itself so that you dont exceed those.
