Does your 2001 Land Rover Discovery II have a 4-Way flat connector on it? If not then the first step is to install one using # C59496. I believe I know the British Atlantic brand harness you are talking about and it is a regular US 4-Way flat.
Then after installing the 4-Way, or if you already have a 4-Way, you would need # ETBC7 to add the 7-Way. This will also retain the 4-Way so you will have both on your vehicle. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you. For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
If your trailer does not have a 7-Way connector you can add one using # HS381-9000 which also includes a junction box.
