Hitch Recommendation for 2010 Toyota Prius to Carry Thule Doubletrack Bike Rack
Question:
You will need to install a trailer hitch on your 2010 Toyota Prius to be able to use the Thule Doubletrack bike rack part # TH92BJ that you referenced. The best hitch option would then be the Draw Tite part # 24847 which does not require a stabilizer strap when carrying a bike rack like the Curt hitch does. Any local mechanic to you with a decent reputation would have no problem installing this hitch as it's not very involved at all. As long as you aren't flying down the dirt roads in your Prius you'll be fine with the hitch and bike rack. The rack isn't rated for off road use so you'd just have to take care when manuevering over the bumps. Since you are driving a Prius and not a Wrangler I don't believe this would be a huge concern. I attached a review video for this rack on a similar Toyota Prius as yours for you to check out as well.
