Higher Capacity Trailer Hitch Recommendation for Cutaway Chassis 350 RV

Question:

I want to install a hitch on a 2012 cutaway 350 think RV. The rear frame is a C-channel but the bottom portion of the C is narrow. The hitches mentioned in this reply https://www.etrailer.com/question-247421.html look like they will fit properly but I would like a large class. Id like to be able to handle 7000lb. Do you have a one like those but with a higher weight capacity?

Expert Reply:

For RV applications it's hard to fit hitches to them as the back of the RVs are all somewhat different and our hitch manufacturers don't go out and fit them all. Since you need a 7k capacity your best option would probably be a multi fit hitch.

Multi-fit RV hitches like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916.
