Can Bike be Loaded on the Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Before Raising the Center Post
Question:
Your video shows raising the center post prior to loading bikes onto the rack. Can the bike be loaded onto the pads prior to raising the center post? I am concerned about maneuvering around the post and scratching the car. I presume I would need someone to steady the bike on the pads while I raised the post and clamped the bike in the rack. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

There isn't any rule saying that you cannot load the bike on the Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT # TH92BJ so you can definitely load it that we. The reason that our install team raises the center post first is because it avoids the potential of pedals being in the way of the post.
It probably would be a good idea to have someone steady the bike while you raise that post.
