How to Bypass Integrated Brake Controller of 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 to Install Prodigy P3

I have a 2010 Ram 3500 Laramie that has a factory installed brake controller that I would like to replace with the Prodigy P3 with the wire harness. What will I need to do,if anything for the computer recognize the new controller ?

Bypassing the factory brake controller of your 2010 Dodge Ram with the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 only requires you to install it with the install harness part # 3021-P.

The vehicle will also need the computer flashed so it will keep from searching for the connection to the OEM brake controller in the future, eliminating any fault codes. This will usually have to be done at the Dodge Dealer. The truck will recognize the P3 once this is done.
