Can Weight Distribution System Tow Trailer without Spring Bars Connected

Question:

I have a 2007 keystone outback bumper pull camper. I also have a 2010 v8 f150 to pull it with. However the newly purchased preowned camper is not equipped with the pieces in the toung to attach the weight dust. bar chain and the sway bar. Can I pull it with just the ball and safety chains?

You can tow a trailer with a weight distribution setup that does not have the spring bars connected. As long as the head of the system is attached to the shank properly (there's no reason it wouldn't be) it would work just as well as a standard adjustable ball mount.

I lost a spring a bar while traveling. Should I continue to use the remaining Spring bar or take it off and use the hitch without the spring bars?

I would definitely remove the remaining spring bar until you're able to replace the missing unit. If you can tell me what model system you have I would be happy to find the right spring bar.
