Stabilization Strap Location for Trailer Hitch on Back of Travel Trailer
Question:
This hitch is listed as needing the additional stabilizing straps. Since I would like to install this on a travel trailer, the only secure tie down points will be down towards the bumper. Is this acceptable or does the stabilizing strap need to be vertical from a bike rack?

The Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703 is a great choice for a travel trailer. The stabilization strap # 18050 does not need to be vertical, although it is ideal. According to my contact at Curt you can even use the safety chain loops to secure your accessory with a little more tension.
