What Size Trailer Wheel Will Fit a 7.00 x 15 Inch Tire

Question:

I have 700X15 tires. Would the 6 or 5 wheel work best. I have an old stock trailer with dual 3500# axles. The current rims are 5 and rusting out.

The closest size to a 7.00x15 tire would be a 225/75-15. These tires can fit on a 6 to 7 inch wide rim. But they are a little taller at 28.4 inches versus 27.88 for a 7.00x15. So basically, going to a 6 inch wide rim would be ideal.

The black steel wheel that you have referenced, # AM20504, is a 15x6 inch with a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. But it also has a positive 5mm offset meaning the tire will be closer to the trailer frame by 5mm. You would have to make sure you have the available space between the tire and trailer.

I have included a link to the 15 inch wheels we carry. I have also included some links to tire and wheel FAQ articles for you.
