Installation of 7-way Wiring Connector Bracket to 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
Im purchasing a trailer hitch C13065 for my 2016 Grand Cherokee. I want the purchase the HM40975 connector socket. How is the connector mounted? I see a long and short no drill bracket, but is this the correct ones to use? If so which one? Is the C13065 pre-drilled to receive another type of bracket I should be using? Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13065 is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket # HM40975 will mount to that hitch using the Curt No-Drill Bracket for 6-Way or 7-Way Round Trailer Connector Mounting Bracket - Long # C57202. There are not other holes pre-drilled into the receiver, but you drill directly into the crosstube if you desire or mount it directly to your Jeep bumper. My recommendation is to use the no-drill bracket.
