How to Find the Correct Weight Distribution System for Eagle Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a large eagle travel trailer 2016-338rets with a tongue weight of 1700 pounds. When I hook the trailer up to my truck 460 pounds moves from the front axle to the rear axle and my blue ox weight distribution hitch with 2000 lb bars will not move the weight back to the front axle however the front wheel well measurement returns to the unhitched height. Will the RP66075 work.

In order to choose the best weight distribution system you will first need to know your total tongue weight (TTW), which is the tongue weight of your fully loaded and ready to go Eagle travel trailer plus the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2015 Ram 3500. The ideal system would be one in which your TTW would fall somewhere in the middle of the weight distribution system's tongue weight capacity.
So if the tongue weight of your trailer is 1,700 lbs when loaded and you have 100 lbs of cargo behind your truck's rear axle, your total tongue weight would be 1,800 lbs and a Blue Ox system such as # BXW2000, with 2,000 lb bars should work. I recommend checking your total tongue weight and ensuring that the lift brackets on your Blue Ox system are approximately 29" from the hitch ball.
