Parts Needed to Install Prodigy RF Brake Controller with 2018 Ford Escape with 4-Way
Question:
I have a 2018 Ford Escape Titanium with the factory tow package, meaning it has the flat 4 wire connector. If I install a 7 wire round connector, which I need for my R-Pod, should this controller work for me? Will the LED tail lights pose a problem? I like this unit because theres not a lot of space to mount a controller in the Escape, what with knee level airbags. Thank you.

Expert Reply:
If you use the 7-way adapter part # 37185 on your 2018 Ford Escape and then run the black wire of the adapter up to the positive post of your vehicle battery with 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) through a breaker like part # 9510 you'd be set to use the RF Brake Controller part # ETBC7 which will work great.
