Electric Brakes for Rockwell 8,000 lb Torsion Axles

Question:

It reference the 90865 as a drum with 9/16 studs then in upper right it talks about the brakes as 12 x 3.5. I don't think 1/8 smaller shoe depth would make that much difference. Mine does have the 4 bolts, I just need the distance between holes, mine are about 3.5". Give or take a little as I didn't have the wheel and drum off.

Helpful Expert Reply:

Electric brakes such as Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-8 do not fit specific axles. These are 8,000 lb rated brakes with a 4-bolt mounting flange pattern and are 12-1/4" diameter x 3-3/8" wide, so you would need that mounting bolt pattern and a hub and drum assembly that allows these brakes to fit.

I've added a link to a video review of the brakes for you to take a look at.

The mounting flange you would need to have for the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-8 is Brake Mounting Flange for 3-1/2" Axles, 12-1/4" Brake Assemblies # 4-50. I've added a photo of the flange for you which has the dimensions you were asking for. It is 3-5/8" from center hole to center hole vertically and 3-7/16" center hole to center hole horizontally. I've added a link to a video review of this flange for you to take a look at as well.
