Recommended Trailer Hitch and Tow Dolly Combination for Pontiac G6 GT Convertible
Question:
I have a motorhome and plan to tow a pontiac G6 GT convertible with 3818 lbs curb weight. I need to the hitch about 10inch from my receiver on the MH. Which hitch do I need. Tow capacity of my MH is 5000 lbs. I estimate the dolly at about 700lbs. Cant find that on any tags but it says towing capcity is 3500 lbs.

It sounds like your hitch or dolly aren't capable of towing your Pontiac G6 based on its weight, but your motorhome is capable. If this is the case, I recommend the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide # C13702. This hitch receiver has a capacity rating of 5,000 lbs.
For a tow dolly, I recommend the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes - 4,250 lbs # RM-2050-1. This will require a wiring connection like the # PK12706. This will require a 7-way connection and a brake controller like # 90195 in your motorhome. If you need help with wiring, let me know.
For a ball mount, I recommend the Curt Channel Style Adjustable Ball Mount # C45900.
