Drop Weight Distribution Shank for Curt Weight Distribution to Tow Level

Question:

I just purchased the Curt 17500 to help me tow a 26foot travel trailer dry weight 3300 lbs. The tow vehicle is a 2005 Trailblazer EXT. My question is does anyone know the settings for the hitch head to receiver settings. I measured the camper ground to top of coupler as being 16.5inch approx. With the receiver flipped down and the head at the lowest setting the ground to top of ball setting is 21. Is this ok? Please let me know. Thanks

Sounds like you need a larger drop shank to allow your trailer to tow level. Since you need approximately 6 inches of drop you'd want the Curt shank # C17124. This can do a drop of up to 9 inches which would work well.
