Recommended Hitch and Wiring for 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SE
Question:
I just purchased a Hyundai Santa fe 2017 SE AWD it does not have a tow hitch thus I dont think it comes with a tow package, what wiring do you recommend for the tow hitch? I was looking at this one: Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # C56332 dont know if that would work, thank you any info greatly appreciated.

The T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package # C56332 would only work on your 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe SE if it had the tow package, which you said you did not believe it did. There is a simple way for you to find out, however. All you have to do is give your Hyundai dealer a call and give them your VIN and they will be able to let you know if the tow package is on the car or not.
If you do have the tow package you can use the aforementioned # C56332; if you did NOT have the tow package then the correct harness is # C56184. For a hitch I recommend the Curt # C13153 because the option from Draw-Tite may require you to modify the spare tire carrier during installation and the Curt will not.
If you are going to be towing, I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900, which may fulfill your towing needs in one tidy package; two ball mounts - one with a 3/4” rise or 2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise or 4” drop - a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You can use the link to the help article on ball mounts I've added to determine if this kit will give you the correct amount of drop or rise. I've also attached a link to our page with each of our ball mounts as well as links to video reviews and installs of these products for you to check out.
