Hub, Slip On Rotor Kit Recommendation for 7k Timbren Axle Less Kit
Question:
The 7k Timbren Axle-less has a #42 spindle right? Therefore this hub kit AKIHUB-865-7-1-K will get me started on my custom build without brakes? Later I plan to add a slip oninch version of the 13inch Kodiak EOH disc brakes, and want to make sure the studs have the extra 1/2inch needed for that combo. Is that 1-9/16inch from the face plate to the top of the stud? The Dexter version of the hub K08-231-9B studs are apparently 1-9/32inch so quite a bit shorter. Are there any options that use lug *bolts* rather than nuts? Finally, does a 9/16inch stud/bolt size actually give a big strength advantage over 1/2? The latter is so much more common. . .

Expert Reply:
The trailer hub part # AKIHUB-865-7-1-K does fit the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System # TASR7KS01 that you mentioned.
Then when you want to use a slip on disc brake kit you'd want the part # K2R79D which will fit and work well with this setup. It's designed for 9/16 inch studs as well which are going to be a bit stronger.
We don't have any options that use lug bolts instead of lug nuts at this time.
