What Are Measurements For AMSC2 Cushioned Ball Mount By Convert-A-Ball
Question:
Hello, what is the dimension from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the ball mount opposite end of the ball, toward the front of the vehicle? Although I have an open ended 2inch square hitch, there is a spare tire about 4inch from the center of the hitch pin hole on the vehicle. Application 2005 Lexus GX470. Thanks.

The measurement of the center of hitch pinhole to the back of the shank that goes towards the front of your vehicle for the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount, Item # AMSC2, is 2-3/4 inches. Another key measurement is from center of hitch pinhole to the center of the hitch ball hole which is 9-1/2 inches. Finally, the distance from center of hitch pinhole to start of ball mount piece is 5 inches.
This Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount has a polyurethane interior that absorbs shocks and reduces vibrations. It has a towing weight capacity of 10,000-lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 2,000-lbs. It takes a 1 inch diameter hitch ball and I recommend Item # 40038 by Curt if you need one.
I also recommend adding an Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock like Item # 63232 to reduce movement and vibrations and to provide additional security.
I have attached a video and additional information to assist you with your project.
