Replacement Controller for Kwikee Series 32 Step Assembly Part 909506000
Question:
I have a Kwikee series 32 step assembly, it has a Kwikee controller 909506000 at present. The controller will not operate the motor. There is 11.95 dcv at the connector to the motor, but will not operate. Note. there is 12.6 dcv input to the controller. When controller is bypassed the motor works fine. Although the controller seems to cycle correctly, my guess is a defective component in the controller. The note on your web site states that the 909506000 controller has been discontinued and there is a substitute LC379146. My data plate on the under side of the steps reads as follows: serial no. 213197, series 32 and the controller tag is part number 909506000, mfgd 99-01serial no. -01452. Does the LC379145 work for these stairs? See attached photos. If not what are my options? Please advise.

I gave him all the information you provided regarding your step assembly, along with the information from the picture you attached. He was able to confirm that the Lippert Components Kwikee Step Motor Conversion/Upgrade Kit # LC379145 you referenced is exactly what you need to replace the controller and motor on your model 909506000 assembly.
This will work perfect to not only replace the control module on the unit, but also upgrade it and the motor to the current style.
