Hitch Recommendation for 2017 Subaru Forester 2.5i Limited
Question:
I am doing research on getting a hitch installed on my Forester. Not finding any good reviews on the Subaru Thule hitch. What hitch would you recommend? Would need to use it for bikes, pulling wave runner, platform storage deck and small lawn trailer. I live in El Paso Texas. Thanks,

Our most popular and best option for a trailer hitch for your 2017 Subaru Forester is the Draw Tite part # 75876 which is a Class III hitch confirmed as a fit. It's a 2 inch hitch which means it has great weight capacities and more accessories made for it. I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
For trailer wiring you then would want the part # 118467 which is also a confirmed fit.
If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
