If the motor on the electric tongue jack on your 2017 Forest River Flagstaff Super Lite tandem-axle travel trailer operates but the jack does not raise or lower the trailer tongue then you might have over-extended the jack and damaged the internal screw mechanism. You might try the manual crank handle to see if the jack extends or retracts when manually operated. If not, then your jack needs to be rebuilt or replaced.

Some jacks like the Stromberg Carlson # SC63VR have a built-in auto-stop feature that prevents damage to the gears from over-extension. This jack has 4500 pounds of lifting capacity

Any weight-bearing item - a jack or a winch - will work better and last longer if operated below its maximum rated capacity. If you do prefer a new jack instead of repairing your original unit then the Husky would be an excellent choice.
