Recommended Class S Tire Chains for a 2015 Ford F-250 with 245/75-17 Tires

Question:

My manual says only Class S chains should be installed on this truck. You advertise Class U chains, Part Number TC2828CAM, for this truck. Who is right? BTW - Looking under my wheel well reveals more than 8 inches of clearance. Does a problem occur when turning the wheels with Class U chains?

The tire chains you see in the fit guide for your vehicle are based on the size of the tire and do not take into consideration what the owners manual says. Since your owner's manual states to use Class S approved tire chains this is what you will want to use. Class S tire chains require less wheel well clearance than Class U tire chains. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend you use Class U tire chains on your truck as the owner's manual states not to and since we have not tested Class U chains on your vehicle, I wouldn't be able to provide insight on turning cleaning while using them.

For a set of Class S compatible tire chains for the 245/75-17 tires on your 2015 Ford F-250, I recommend using the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains part # TC2321. The Titan tire chains have a diamond pattern with square links that offers maximum tire coverage which provides increased traction in both snow and ice. The tire chains are color-coded for easy installation and are one of my personal favorites.

I have attached a review and installation video of the above tire chains for you to check out as well.
