Recommended Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller to Replace Malfunctioning Prodigy P2
Question:
I have a 8/9 yr old Prodigy P2 brake controller. It malfunctions 60 to 70 of the time. I want to replace with a P3. Will my existing truck specific wiring harness work on the new P3. The truck is a 2010 Toyota Tundra.

If the problem is in your old Prodigy P2 # 90885, then the wiring you currently have will work perfectly with the Prodigy P3 # 90195. If you have the factory 7 way and want to replace the wiring harness too, you will want # 3040-P for your 2010 Toyota Tundra.
The P3 will have some upgrades like the LCD screen and presets that make adjusting to different trailer sizes really easy. The screen will give you a clearer diagnostic as well without having to memorize codes or keep the manual handy.
