Prodigy Trailer Brake Controller Installation in 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser

Trailer brake controllers such as the Prodigy P2 # 90885 and P3 # 90195 are not vehicle-specific so you can install any controller you like in your 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser. The P2 and the P3 are very similar in actual technology and operation but the P3 adds some nice features that make it easier to use, such as storable trailer braking power settings and a larger display.
Any controller you choose will install in your FJ using our installation kit # ETBC7. This includes all of the parts you need to wire the controller and to install a fully-functioning 7-way trailer connector.
The FJ also needs to have a 4-pole wiring harness in place. If you do not have a 4-pole harness on the vehicle you can use kit # 118405.
