The Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # FV802250 and the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent - Clamp On # FV801208 referenced in your question are indeed extremely similar to each other. These are both variable-speed, 12-volt roof vent fans designed for a rough opening size of 14-1/4 inch x 14-1/4 inch. As far as the units themselves, these products are virtually identical.
The only real difference between the two models is the manner in which they install. The Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent - Clamp On # FV801208 is held in place by using a sealant and then attaching the garnish to the bottom of the vent with four screws. The sealant is what secures the fan into place. For the sealant you can use the TremPro # 0160297.
The Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent # FV802250 on the other hand features mounting holes and is simply screwed into place.
I have attached a couple short video demonstrations for both of these products that you can also check out.
