Recommended Waste Valve Extension Rod for RV Black Water Valve

Question:

On my waste valve and I can not see the brand is an extension. It has a coupling that attaches to the waste rod, and then the extension fits into and held via a cotter pin the coupling. I tried to get the coupling off but it seems to be frozen. Is the coupling threaded normally on the waste rod right to tight or a left handed thread. I might have been trying to loosen the coupling while really tighting it. The bottom line is that the extension is bent its a hollow tube and need to replace it.

On a waste valve, the handle is right to tighten and left to loosen. We have extension tubes with handles like the Valterra Waste Valve Extension Tube with Handle - 9" # TX9HPB in different lengths that allow you to open and close a threaded valve from a distance. I've attached a link to assist with your options and also linked a video of the Extension Rod Kit for Valterra Waste Valve - Adjustable - 6" to 8" and 9" to 11" # T1046-12VP.

We also have the pin type valves and cables for the extension like the Valterra Waste Valve Body w/ Flexible Cable for RV Black Water Tank - 72" # TC372. Either option will get you away from the need to be under your RV when you need to dump the black water.
