Tips for Getting Draw-Tite Hitch DT24950 Top Plates and Bolts Installed on a 2018 Audi A4 Allroad
Question:
Regarding Audi Allroad 2018 This seems simple, but Im having trouble getting the second carriage bolt through the top plate, as there is not much room above the plate once it is sitting on the bumper beam. I can slide the top plate over the beam with one bolt pre-attached, but getting the second through no matter which side I try seems impossible. Ive taken the bottom 2 10mm nuts off already. Do I need to remove the entire fascia? Any trick you know of would be helpful.

You should not have to remove the rear fascia on your 2018 Audi A4 Allroad to install Draw-Tite trailer hitch # DT24950 but it would help you have more space to work if you did. There aren't any specific instructions for that though.
It might be helpful to have someone pull rearward on the fascia just enough to give you space to put the plate with both bolts in it into position. That way you would not have to remove the fascia to get the required space. That would be the first thing I would try before removing the rear fascia.
