Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness For 2016 Chevy Traverse Without Tow Package
Question:
for Traverse 2016 not factory wired

For your 2016 Chevy Traverse that is not factory wired with a tow package, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118271. This This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located beneath the vehicle, near the frame rail on the passenger's side. Once you've plugged in the connectors, insert the included fuses and relays into their locations in the fusebox, which is located in the engine compartment.
You will need a mounting bracket like # PK12711U which can be directly mounted or can use the no-drill mounting bracket # 18140. If you don't already have a trailer hitch receiver, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75528 which has an integrated bracket mount.
If you want to add a brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195. Since you don't have the factory tow package, you will need to use the brake controller wiring # 5506 to add these functions to your 7-way.
