Installation of a Tow Ready Harness # 118509 On a 2004 Volkswagen Touareg
Question:
I have a 2004 Touareg. What does this installation roughly involve? Do I need to remove rear bumper? Any other steps. Does this work with LED lights on trailers? Could you attach installation instructions? Does it cause error codes on the Multi function monitor? THANKS

I attached installation instructions for this T-One Connector w/Upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite, part # 118509, below for you to check out. You will not need to remove the rear bumper for this install.
Basically, you will remove the tail lights temporarily so you can access the the wiring harness for each of the tail lights and then you will wire this harness in line with the tail light harness and then you will ground a wire to the body of your 2004 Volkswagen Touareg and finally attach a wire to the positive side of the vehicle battery.
As long as you install this product correctly you should have no problems with error codes. This product should also work well with the LED lights that are on your trailer.
