Best Bike Rack to Use with a Class C Motorhome and a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
I am looking at the Thule Doubletrack Platform-Style 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4inch and 2inch Hitches - Hitch Mount Item # TH990XT, but the product description indicates not for RVs. I have a Class C motorhome with a 2inch frame receiver. I am considering replacing my current SportRack rack of a similar design that is too wobbly for my liking. Will this be sturdier? If not suitable for RVs, can you suggest something? I will also be using the hitch on my. Santa Fe, also a 2inch hitch.

The Thule Doubletrack, part # TH92BJ is not rated for RV use. Most racks that are folding, tilting or are rated for a Class 1 hitch aren't sturdy enough to take the increased forces that occur on the back of an RV.
Instead, I recommend the Swagman E-Spec part # S94FR or Dispatch, part # S44FR.
Both are platform racks rated for use with an RV and have a few differences that may matter to you depending on the type of bikes you have.
The E-Spec is a newer rack with a 60-lb per bike capacity, allowing you to carry a wide number of electric and regular bikes. It sits 15-1/4 inches away from the hitch pin hole and is a frame-only mount, meaning that the mount only locks to the frame of the bike, which is appropriate for most bikes. Its finish is black, and it includes integrated bike and hitch locks.
The Dispatch has a lower weight capacity of only 45lbs per bike and is a much smaller rack overall. Its primary advantage over the Escapee is that it will be a better cross-vehicle application than the E-Spec as it will better adapt to the lower weight availability on the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe. Additionally, it's able to fold up against the vehicle, giving back the space that the Escapee would take up even when unloaded. It also includes integrated bike and hitch locks and is finished in black and gray.
I've included a video of the Dispatch so you can see the rack in action.
