Transmission Cooler # D13503 Recommendation for a 2010 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
I got a really big trailer I did the research before but Im having second thoughts My suv towing capacity is 6000 lbs The trailer dry weight is 4200 and I got installed sway control and wt distribution bars plus electric brakes I guess I just want some piece of mind that my suv can pull this off I drove for 40 miles and I could feel the weight of the trailer Any tips would help Thanks

It sounds like you did your homework and bought all of the right components to pull your 4200 lb trailer with your 2010 Nissan Pathfinder that has a 6000 lb towing capacity.
The only other thing I would recommend is that you get a transmission cooler. For that I would recommend a Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13503. Often times the stock transmission cooler is adequate at best when not pulling a trailer, so you would want one to keep your transmission fluid temperatures in a range that will not cause damage to your vehicle.

As long as you do not load up the trailer with more than 1,800 lbs you should not have to worry about overloading your Pathfinder.
When you are towing a trailer that is any where near the towing capacity of the tow vehicle it is normal to feel it behind you when you are accelerating, braking, or turning. It may take a little while to get used to the extra weight back there but if you exercise caution until you become comfortable you should have no problems.
