Kayak Carrier and Roof Rack for a 2000 Viking Legend Pop-Up Camper
Question:
Hello, I have a 2000 Viking Legend camper that I need a rack for my kayaks 2. I could not find my camper on your search engine. My picture attached is the best I can find of it (I hit an antelope with it in Wyoming but it has been fixed). Any recommendations? Thanks

There are a couple options for a rack to carry kayaks with your 2000 Viking Legend. The SportRack Pop-Up Camper Roof Rack # SR1020 will fit campers that have a maximum width of 85-1/2", and from my research it looked like your Viking has a width of 85", though you may want to double check with a measurement to confirm. The SportRack has a weight capacity of 200 lbs and permanently bolts onto your camper, as does your other rack option.
The Swagman Roamer LT Roof Rack for Pop-Up Campers # S80510 is meant to bolt onto the top of campers so long as they do not have a plastic one-piece top. This rack has a weight capacity of 150 lbs, which is a bit less than the SportRack but likely enough to carry all but the heaviest kayaks.
For a kayak carrier, I recommend checking out the Thule The Stacker # TH830. This system has the ability to transport a pair of kayaks side-by-side. It comes with bow-stern tie-down straps for one kayak; for your second you can use the tie-downs # TH855XT and straps # TH523.
