Hitch and Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2006 Acura MDX
Question:
I want to be sure that when I have a trailer hitch installed, that the full sized spare that is on the MDX will fit and be accessible. My immediate goal is to place a 4 bike rack on the hitch, and then long term I want to place a small light-weight trailer for carrying bulky items furniture, luggage, etc, household items

For your 2006 Acura MDX I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 75599. I attached installation instructions as well as an installation video for you to check out below for this product.
You will not need to remove your spare to install this hitch and it can remain installed on your MDX while you have the hitch installed.
For a 4 bike rack I recommend you get a Thule Camber 4 Bike Carrier, part # TH9056.
If you plan on hauling womens or alternative framed bikes you would be interested in purchasing a Thule Womens and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter Bar, part # TH982. I attached a review video for this product below for you to check out also.
