Availability of ST185/80R13 Size Tire for Boat Trailer

Hi, I have read alot of reviews about the service and products your company provides. I have a 2016 Bass Tracker that came with 2 Loadstar ST185/80R13 LDR C tires. I ensure that my tires are inflated to the proper PSI each time I take it out on the road. I pull my boat 26 miles one way to a local lake every weekend. The left side tire blew this past weekend. I did some research on the tires I have and found that a radial LDR C tire has a max speed rating of 60 mph. About half of my trip to the lake is on a highway where the max speed limit is 70 mph. I have two questions. !. Will going to a ST185/80R13 LDR D tire give me more protection from a blowout with speeds up to 65 mph? 2. I find it difficult to find the ST185R/80R13 LDR D on your website, do you sell this tire? Thanks.

Although we currently do not carry the Radial version of the ST185/80-13 Load Range D Kenda Loadstar tire, we do carry the Bias version which can be found with part # AM1ST79 on our site. Since this tire uses the special trailer tire design (ST) it has the strength of a bias tire but also the durability and stability of a radial tire.

The max load rating for a single tire is 1,710 lbs at 65 psi and this tire has a max speed rating of 81 mph so you can rest easy about your speed on the highway. This tire will be an excellent replacement as it is the same size and has the higher speed rating.

If you are needing replacement wheels as well I recommend going with part # AM3S334 as it has a Galvanized wheel which means it will resist corrosion due to water much better than a normal steel wheel will. The only thing you will need to make sure to check is your bolt pattern. This wheel uses the 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. You can find out how to measure your bolt pattern by watching the attached review video for the tire/wheel combination starting at the 1:20 mark.
