What Is The Best Way To Carry Bikes On A 2013 Toyota Rav4 EV
Question:
Hello, We have purchased a used 2013 RAV-4 EV. This uses the 2012 body style of the standard RAV-4. There is no roof rack, spare tire or trailer hitch options. I DO have a Thule roof rack for my 97 4-Runner but would need stand-off supports etc. Any help would be appreciated

I do have a roof rack option for you, however, you will not be able to use the Thule crossbars on your 1997 Toyota 4-Runner as they are not compatible with the EV models. In order to install a roof rack on your vehicle, you will need the Malone AirFlow2 Universal Roof Rack part # MPG215 for models with factory side rails or the Inno Aero Crossbar System part # INXB108-115, part # INXS200, and part # INK329 for models without factory side rails. Regardless of which roof rack option you go with, you will need a roof mounted bike rack such as the Yakima HighRoad Roof Bike Rack part # Y02114 to secure a bike.
Another option that will allow you to haul a bike/bikes on your vehicle would involve using our SeaSucker bike racks. You can use a trunk mounted bike rack like the SeaSucker Hornet Rear Window Bike Rack - Handlebar Mount part # 298-BH1302 to carry one bike on the rear of the vehicle and the SeaSucker Mini Bomber Roof 2 Bike Rack part # 298-BM2006 to carry an additional two on the roof of the vehicle. We also have a 3-bike naked roof mounted rack in the SeaSucker Bomber Roof 3 Bike Rack part # 298-BB3008 available for you.
