What is the Length of the Thule Replacement Carriage Bolt # 915-0650-54
Question:
I have two Thule kayak J rack systems. One of the racks is a Thule 835 Hull-A-Port that I bought new. The other one was one I bought off a guy ten years ago and its as basic of a Thule as they get. They spent a winter or two in the elements and I have to replace some parts. I purchased the recommended carriage bolts xadapt3 adapter kit and some replacement 3 wing knobs however the replacement knobs were not a snug fit for the bolts and the slightest breeze made them unwind. So NOT using those. Back to square one. I think I found what I need on this site, but there are two different bolts pictured under my Thule 835 search. One appears to be VERY short and I want to make sure that what Im purchasing is what I need. The bolts I need are approximately 2.5 inches long. The longer one is called something different and I have no idea what a sidearm is. If I get the longer bolt, will the 3 wing knob m6 fit with them? My father has my yaks right now with some makeshift bolts so I cant get pictures until I meet up next weekend, but I really wanted to have the replacement parts with me so that I can swap them out when I see him so Im not worried about them flying off of his van. Please help.

The Replacement M6x50 Carriage Bolt for Thule Carries measures 50 mm long or 1.97 inches long.
I did find a M6 carriage bolt, Thule # 915-068-054, that measure 80 mm or at 3.15 inches long. This is the only bolt that Thule offers.
