Recommended Anti-Rattle Device for Towing a Travel Trailer
Question:
I was hoping to talk to someone at Etrailer but after a 12 minute hold, I will try this approach. Can you recommend any anti-rattle device that will work for my 5,000 lbs travel trailer. It appears RM-061 is only for lighter weight towing objects. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 will work for your 5,000 pound travel trailer. As long as your trailer hitch receiver has a collar around it. The Quiet Hitch doesn't have a weight rating and is used in a variety of applications with much success.
If your hitch doesn't have a collar another option is the Blue Ox Immobilizer II # BX88224. It's a different design of anti-rattle that is very effective.
I've linked videos of both products for you.
