Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendations for a 2016 Chevy Traverse 2LT AWD

Hello, I purchased this trailer hitch 75528, but the vast amount of wiring choices puzzles me. Can you recommend a wiring harness for a 2016 Traverse 2LT AWD? Our intent is to pull a camping trailer. Thank you!!

I will be happy to help you select a trailer wiring harness so you can get out there and get to camping! There are a couple of different ways you can add a trailer wiring harness to your 2016 Chevy Traverse: install a harness that plugs in line with the tail light wiring or use a harness that plugs into a factory location and that also provides the accessories to make it functional. The second way is the easier installation so I recommend we look at the best option in that category.

If your trailer has a 4-Way flat connector then I recommend Tekonsha harness # 118270. It comes with the wiring itself and the fuses and relays needed to make it active.

If your trailer has a 7-Way then you can use # 118271 which installs in the same way and also includes the fuse and relays to make it active. I have included links to videos showing example installations of each of these harnesses for you.
