Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to be taking a quick look at the Seaflow deck plate. This allows you to have a nice, easy access point for any kind of storage items, maybe put this somewhere that you want to get access to some equipment, do any kind of maintenance, but then be able to seal that up whenever you're done. It makes a really low-profile, attractive entrance into those areas. It's easy to operate and just twist that closed, and then it's pretty low-profile so you don't have to worry about it being a tripping hazard if you have to put it in the floor of any spot.So let's take a closer look at it and I'll give you some measurements to make sure that this is the right fit for your particular application. It's made out of a durable plastic. It's ABS plastic, so it's going to be UV and impact resistant, perfect for all kinds of different applications.

The finger holes are pretty easy to get into. They are labeled open and shut to remind you which direction to turn the plate to get everything either open or closed. We'll have six spots to attach this down. They are going to be that kind of counter sunk design, so you can have the hardware nice and flush. It does not come with mounting hardware, so you will have to pick that up on your own.On the backside, there are a couple of little ridges here, so if you we're to add a piece of foam or something underneath it, it would make a really nice watertight seal.

As it is, if you're going into something that's pretty inflexible like a really hard material, I don't think that this would make a water tight seal. It might, depending on how tight you're able to attach it, but I would still maybe put something that has a little bit of give underneath to create a watertight seal, maybe even some silicone or just a little foam to put underneath there.As far as measurements, from outside edge to outside edge, it's about nine and three quarter inches in diameter. And then the opening, we've got about seven and a quarter inch in diameter there as far as something going solidly in to the space. The cutout size from outside edge to outside edge here, right about seven and three quarter inches. The thickness of the ring that's going to be above our mounting surface is about three eights of an inch.

Get that so you can see that there, three eights of an inch. And overall depth is about an inch and an eighth. It is covered by a four year limited warranty, and that's pretty much it as far as the specs go. One last one I want to give you though, is the distance between the mounting holes center to center and that's nine inches pretty much dead on.Well, I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right solution for you.
