What is the Length and Tongue Weight of Empty Roadmaster Tow Dolly # RM-2050-1

Question:

What is the tongue length ? What is the tongue weight with dolly empty ? I plan on using my bike rack on back of RV and want to know the tongue length for clearance issue between the bikes and car on dolly. I also want to know the tongue weight empty, for ease of moving around by hand in garage or at campsite.

I have some measurements of the Roadmaster tow dolly # RM-2050-1 for you. From the front tip of the coupler back to the pivot bolt (which is about at the centerline of the axle) is 86-1/2 inches. To the front of the dolly body it is approximately 73 inches. If the distance is not enough you could always use a longer ball mount to increase the distance some.

You may also need a high/low adapter to keep the dolly level. I have linked a help article showing how to measure and a link to the high/low adapters we carry.

The empty tongue weight is no more that 55 pounds if perfectly level. Considering you will be lifting it higher than level to move it around the tongue weight would be a bit less.
