Recommended Front Mount Hitch and Bike Rack for 2016 Ford F-250

For a front mount trailer hitch that is custom-fit for your 2016 Ford F-250, I recommend the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65049. No drilling will be required during installation and it will provide a 2 inch receiver with a vertical load capacity of 500 pounds.

Then for a bike rack to use on the hitch, I recommend looking at the Swagman XTC-2 2-Bike Platform Rack # S64670. This will hold up to 2 bikes at 35 pounds each and includes a shank with a rise that will give you better ground clearance when loading your bikes. I recommend adding the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable # S64031 to secure the carrier to your truck and the bikes to the carrier.

When using a bike rack at the front of your Ford F-250, you will just want to be sure that the rack and bikes do not interfere with your headlights when driving at night. Also keep in mind that the bikes may reduce driver visibility and restrict airflow to the motor.
