RV Ladder Bike Rack or Spare Tire Bike Rack on Tow Vehicle

Question:

Will be buying a bike rack from you for either attachment to RV ladder or to put on back of tow vehicle, Thule 963PRO for Jeep. I have heard comments about strength of RV ladder. Any thoughts?

Choosing between a spare tire bike rack like the Thule Spare Me 2 Bike Rack # TH963PRO for your Jeep or an RV ladder bike rack will really be up to your personal preference.

An RV ladder rack like the Surco 2 Bike Carrier # SP501BR may offer more convenience for loading and unloading your bikes when compared to a rack that mounts between your Jeep and RV. This particular carrier can transport up to 2 bikes with a total weight of 75 pounds. It has a dual-arm design which will provide great support for your bikes. We have not heard of any issues with RV ladders having the required capacity to support these types of bike racks.

I recommend adding the 10' Cable Lock # e98891 to secure your bikes and help deter theft.
