Recommended Class S Tires Chains For 2015 Ford F-150 With P265/65/R18 tires

Question:

I bought my first Ford in 30 years and I am starting to regret it. I elk hunt at 10000 ft pulling a 20 ft camper. I must be able to run a chain. Why would the best selling truck in North America do this no chain allowed . Is this just a clearance issue? If so I will by a couple of sets and make my own .Or do have cable chains that will work .my tire size is P275_65 R 18

I did some research in the owner's manual for your 2014 F-150 and on page 283 it states you can only use Class S chains on your P275/65/R18 tires. It also recommends to use steel wheels on your truck to prevent damage when using snow chains.

I recommend the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part # TC2327. These chains are made of manganese nickel and have built-in tensioners. The maximum speed when using these chains is 30 mph.
